THE EXILES
The Exiles are the biggest sounding power trio you've ever heard. All three members count as their formative influences some of the greatest rock trios that have ever existed; these formative experiences stood them in good stead when in 2021 they decided to whittle themselves down to a three-piece band. You'll have to look several time before your brain believes what your eyes and ears are telling you: They may sound like a ten-piece orchestra at times, but it's really just these three guys.
COMING UP NEXT:

ABOUT THE EXILES
JOE NORWOOD, GUITAR, VOCALS: A San Diego native, Joe is an active member of the San Diego music scene. His performances include clubs, concerts, TV, and radio. He has performed throughout the U.S. and Canada as a member of several touring bands. Joe has extensive studio experience withhis own projects, and as a session guitarist. He has written over 40 songs. Joe’s many styles include blues, rock, funk, R&B, country AND western. Joe was named “Country Guitarist of the Year” by the California Country Music Association (San Diego area) in 1996.
Along with Virginia Norwood, Joe performed with Beyond Blue, and released two CDs. Joe was co-music director for the stage play “Five Shades of Blues”. He currently performs with The Exiles. Joe’s diverse influences and years of experience make him a well rounded and exciting guitarist.
BILL RUSHING, BASS, VOCALS: Bill Rushing is a classically-trained violinist who transitioned to bass as a teenager, having realized that there was no way he was going to get the women and attention he wanted sawing out standard exercises on his cheap fiddle in the high school quad.
He has spent his playing career performing throughout Southern California and the Bay Area, recording dozens of hours of session work for various artists as well as live backing of said artists, all of whom failed to make any impact on the nation's music scene whatsoever.
His greatest asset and greatest liability is his total inability to tell the difference between a good idea and a bad one. He is a lot of fun at parties because of this.
Bill has finally found his musical home with his comrades in The Exiles, who more or less let him do whatever the hell he wants. This has worked out well for everyone involved.
